This is paragraph 1

This is paragraph 2: My current project, BODY OF MERE BEING, explores the power dynamics between public spaces and queer corporality in post-heteronormative society. Starting from an assumption of a male- and heteronormative-dominated design and architecture of our built environment, the project interrogates the place of queer embodiment within the gendered construction of public and private spaces (cf. Jane Randell; Jane Jacobs; Petra Doan).  Here, the ‘embodiment’ of queerness represents a disruption in the heteropatriarchal and -normative systems as a means to dismantle the logics of oppression and to move towards other ways of being beyond the gender and sexual binary, capitalism and neoliberalism (cf. Legacy Russell).

This is paragraph 3: The project is multidisciplinary, experimental and research based. Through photography, video, text, archival references and, particularly, public intervention, the intersection of identity, safety, visibility, and belonging within diverse spaces is investigated. The project currently consists of two stand-alone video works, This Is My Fortress, Where I Contain My Fears (2022) and NEW TITLE (2022), and the photographic work, My Very Flesh Shall Resist Every Stone (2021/2023).
