My practice examines how bodies are shaped by the spaces, images, and social structures they inhabit. Working across photography, moving image, performance, installation, text, and curatorial practice, I am interested in the ways bodies are measured, disciplined, desired, and made (in)visible.
Much of my artistic work begins with the body as both subject and research tool. I use performance, spatial intervention, archival research, and image-making to test how identities are produced through architecture, physical culture, public space, and systems of representation. Rather than treating the body as fixed, I approach it as something continually negotiated through gesture and movement as well as encounters with other bodies and environments.
Queer perspectives and queering strategies are central to this process. They allow me to question normative ideas of masculinity, visibility, intimacy, and belonging, while also considering how spaces can be occupied differently. Across projects, I move between highly constructed images and forms of situated research, often bringing historical or theoretical material into contact with lived, physical experience.
My curatorial practice extends these questions into collective and institutional contexts. I develop exhibitions, performances, and discursive formats that bring different artistic positions into dialogue around questions of queer visibility, embodiment, access, memory, and the politics of cultural space. Curation becomes another way of asking who is given space, under what conditions, and how encounters between works, bodies, and audiences can be structured differently.

Biography
I have had the pleasure to exhibit in various galleries and off spaces in Vienna and abroad, including MuseumsQuartier Wien, Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin, Stadtgalerie Klagenfurt, Fotogalerie Wien, Ostlicht Galerie, and Galerie 5020 Salzburg. My works have also been featured as part of art and photography festivals, including Vienna Art Week, Luxemburg Art Week, Foto Wien, Rotlicht Festival, Off Grid Festival, and European Month of Photography Berlin. Individual works from the project Queer as a Daffodil are part of the Collection of the City of Vienna (Wien Museum Sammlung).
As a curator, I have organized exhibitions and events which highlight queer identities and artistic positions in institutions, galleries and offspaces, including kärnten.museum (Landesmuseum Kärnten), MuseumsQuartier Wien, Kunstverein Kombinage, MASC Foundation, and Minuszwei.
I’m a member of the Austrian Association of Women Artists (VBKÖ), Kunstverein Kombinage and currently a sitting member of the Programming Committee of the Künstlerhaus Vereinigung. I also have close collaboration with Künstlerhaus Klagenfurt, Community Queerinthia and UNIKUM.
In 2024, I was Artist-in-Residence for Artistic Photography and Media Art in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, awarded by Federal State of Carinthia, Austria (Land Kärnten Kultur). In 2025, I participated in a Member’s Archive Residency at the Austrian Association of Wom*n Artists (VBKÖ). Working in a small group with artists Eszter Katalin and Vinko Nino Jaeger, our topic was researching the queer members of the VBKÖ. In 2026, I was Artist-in-Resident in Gmünd in Kärnten, awarded by the Künstlerstadt Gmünd.
In 2026, I was the recipient of the START-Stipend for Photography (START-Stipendium für Fotografie), awarded by Austrian Federal Ministry of Housing, Art, Culture, Media and Sport (BMWKMS).
Born in the U.S., I have lived and worked in Vienna since 2012. Self-taught in digital and film photography, I enhanced that knowledge with a diploma from the Friedl Kubelka School for Artistic Photography and a course with Anna Daučíková at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg. I also hold an MSc in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
