Visual Artist | Photographer | Curator | Reseacher

My artistic and curatorial practice centers around an exploration of identity—particularly gender and sexuality—as well as interpersonal connectivity and spatial perception through photography, moving images, audio, and installation work. Drawing from my experience as a queer person, my work is motivated by an existential need to understand and express myself and to connect with others from a queer-feminist position.

My intention is to create work that facilitates intimacy and encourages empathy, understanding, and critical conversations about queer identity and expression in a post-heteronormative society. As I pursue these aims, I continually explore what it means to live authentically and how visual representation plays a powerful role in that process.

My current artistic research looks at queer identity and the power dynamics between public spaces and queer corporeality, very often with my own body. I explore this theme through not only my own visual art research and practice, but also performance lectures and curation.

Originally from the U.S., I have lived and worked in Vienna, Austria since 2012. I studied artistic photography at the Schule Friedl Kubelka für künstlerische Photographie (Class 2020/21 and 2021/22) as well as queer strategies at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts Salzburg.
